HEAT & LIGHT CONTROL

MAINTENANCE

Roller Blinds are reasonably low maintenance. Light cleaning can be maintained with a simple swipe of the brush feature on your vacuum cleaner. Verosol’s metallised fabrics are anti-static and therefore repel dust. Spot cleaning using a damp sponge and water is also possible on most fabrics. However, should your Roller Blinds require more substantial cleaning, depending on the type of fabric, Verosol recommends engaging with a professional cleaner using ultrasonic cleaning techniques.

Verosol Roller Blinds come with a nationwide seven‑year limited warranty across the entire range, covering component failure and manufacturing issues*.

General Information

Verosol Roller Blinds are designed for internal solar shading and are intended for this purpose only. They are suitable for typical indoor room temperatures and must be operated correctly to avoid damage to walls, facades, glass or surrounding surfaces.

Roller blinds may be mounted on the wall or ceiling and can be operated via chain, cord pull, or motorisation. System parts such as chains, cord pulls and motors do not require maintenance.

If any malfunction is observed, operation must be stopped immediately and the issue corrected.

General Care

The following ISO symbols represent the general care requirements for Verosol Roller Blind fabrics:

Do Not Wash | Do Not Bleach | Do Not Tumble Dry | Do Not Iron | Do Not Dry Clean

To keep roller blinds in good condition, only light maintenance is required:

  • Dust or vacuum if necessary.
  • If vacuuming, use the soft brush attachment and set the vacuum to low suction.
  • Remove dead insects immediately to avoid stains.

 

Operating Roller Blinds

Whether you have the Mode or Ambience system, please follow these guidelines:

  • Always raise the blinds if windows or doors are open, as strong breezes may catch and damage the blind.
  • Avoid exposure to wind or rain. Water blown onto the fabric may cause stains that are difficult to remove.
  • When raising the blind, stand directly in front of the chain to ensure smooth operation and prevent the chain from rubbing against the mechanism.
  • If you notice the fabric tracking or telescoping, contact your Verosol Retailer as soon as possible.

 

Cleaning Roller Blinds

Cleaning requirements depend on the fabric type:

General & Polyester Fabrics

  • Dust with a soft brush, or gently sponge with warm pH‑neutral soapy water. Rinse well, leaving the blind down to dry.
  • Fabrics such as Ultra and Mirage may be spot‑cleaned. Avoid creasing the fabric.
  • Spot clean marks with a soft, damp (not wet) cloth to prevent water marks.
  • An art‑gum eraser may remove a wide range of surface marks.

 

Handling & Maintenance - Metallised Fabrics

Verosol’s metallised fabrics are anti‑static and naturally resist airborne dust. To maintain their performance and appearance:

  • Roll up the blind before opening windows.
  • Operate manual systems correctly and avoid touching the fabric.
  • Dust with a soft feather duster or vacuum with a soft brush on the lowest suction setting.
  • When cleaning windows, roll up the blind first to prevent detergent mist from contacting the fabric.
  • Keep insects away from the fabric. Remove insect marks or excrement promptly with a soft brush.
  • Ensure the blind can operate freely without touching objects on the window sill. Obstructions may cause the fabric to track on the roll.
  • If tracking is observed, stop operation immediately to prevent edge damage.
  • Dirt marks or spills on metallised fabrics must be cleaned ultrasonically - similar to how delicate silks are professionally cleaned.
  • Do not spray window cleaner on or near metallised fabrics.

 

Warranty

Verosol Roller Blinds come with a 7‑year warranty and comply with all relevant legislation, regulations and standards.

The warranty does not cover:

  • Improper handling
  • Improper cleaning
  • Outdoor use
  • Treatment with chemically aggressive agents
  • External influences including damage, insects, or polluted condensation
